By default, Ghost has no comments function. However, we can add this function via many different platforms. Let’s see how to add it on Disquz, a popular CMS comments tool.

  1. Visit Disquz and create a new account with your shortname.
  2. Follow the instruction on their website, choose install on Ghost, and it will lead you to it’s coding page.
  3. Paste codes into your post.hbs under theme’s folder, and reboot Ghost.

I’d personally recommend to add it under </footer>, as you will see comments field right under your post.

###Some codes you need to modify

<div id="disqus_thread"></div>
<script>

/**
* RECOMMENDED CONFIGURATION VARIABLES: EDIT AND UNCOMMENT THE SECTION BELOW TO INSERT DYNAMIC VALUES FROM YOUR PLATFORM OR CMS.
* LEARN WHY DEFINING THESE VARIABLES IS IMPORTANT: https://disqus.com/admin/universalcode/#configuration-variables*/

var disqus_config = function () {
this.page.url = "{{url absolute="true"}}";  // Replace PAGE_URL with your page's canonical URL variable
this.page.identifier = "ghost-{{comment_id}}"; // Replace PAGE_IDENTIFIER with your page's unique identifier variable
};

(function() { // DON'T EDIT BELOW THIS LINE
var d = document, s = d.createElement('script');
s.src = 'https://{{shortname}}.disqus.com/embed.js';
s.setAttribute('data-timestamp', +new Date());
(d.head || d.body).appendChild(s);
})();
</script>

Pay attention to those “{{}}” vars, " is a must, and also you need to change shortname to yours.
